Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar
Reddy has dealt a rude shock to Superstar Krishna, who claims
himself to be very close to the Chief Minister, by ordering
confiscation of five and a half acres of land allotted to
Padmalaya Studios in Jubilee Hills. The land is now worth over
Rs 180 crore.
What is also shocking for Krishna is that the Chief Minister
outrightly rejected MLC seat to his brother G Adiseshagiri Rao
under Governor's quota. Both these instances have raised many an
eyebrow, as Krishna is considered to be a close confidant of YSR.
During the recent Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Telugu film
industry, too, Krishna and his brother arranged parallel
celebrations and showered praises on the Chief Minister, besides
felicitating YSR
However, when it comes to land issues, the Chief Minister is
firm. Sources say his son Jagan Mohan Reddy is looking for a
piece of land in Jubilee Hills for his proposed Telugu daily and
also TV channel. And they zeroed in on the vacant Padmalaya
Studios land, which is already in dispute for being sold to Zee
Telefilms. The Chief Minister is learnt to have asked Krishna to
surrender the land, but the latter turned it down politely. And
this was the reason for confiscation of the land. It now remains
to be seen if the piece of land is allotted to Jagan or not..
