Uma Pemmeraju is a top- and bottom-of-the-hour
news reader on Fox News Channel. She previously

News.Originally from India, Pemmeraju moved to
Texas with her family when she was six years
old, from Andhra Pradesh. She and her two
brothers were raised by her parents with a
strong sense of
their Indian heritage, while embracing their new
American identities.Pemmeraju received her
Bachelor's degree in Political Science from
Trinity University in Texas. She has won
multiple local Emmy awards over the course
of her career in local news, both in Dallas and
around the Northeastern United States.Pemmeraju
